Are You Too Much, Not Enough, Or Just Plain Confused?

June 30, 2015

Do you shrink yourself to be more pleasing?

Do you go blank when someone asks you what you want, or make something up in hopes it will turn out well?

Are you confused about why men don’t seem attracted to you, or do you miss the signals?

You’re not alone, sister.  So many of us are stymied by the crazy mixed messages we are bombarded with from the media, and even more importantly, by the way we’ve been trained to be silent, appeasing, and people pleasing.  It becomes a habit based in fear and self-preservation.

You don’t need this habit, but wow does it take hold when it’s reinforced by attitudes in the culture, commercials, and good old-fashioned female oppression.

The truth is that you are never too much, you’re always enough, and you know way more than you give yourself credit for, you goddess!  But how are you supposed to tap into this type of confidence, courage and savvy?

This is my specialty, and I have been through it for decades until I figured it out.  I was the ultimate people pleaser, good girl, quiet and polite lady who spent a whole lot of time battling depression, failed relationships, a failed marriage, and even abuse and rape.

My journey to wholeness began  very slowly, years before I realized I had a problem.  I was training in Law of Attraction and spiritual mysticism early on in my teens, and started my passion for attending transformational workshops in my twenties.  But it wasn’t enough to wipe out the low self-worth I was battling.  Brilliant teachings and trainings were wonderful, and I benefitted immensely, but they didn’t change the deepest core of my particular emotional and mental wounding.

The process of healing took me three decades and was a relentless search on my part, healing layer after layer after layer.  I went through what I would call a spiritual death in my early forties, and the journey back from that was through my ongoing intensive training in the Divine Feminine mysteries, wisewoman teachings, shamanic trainings, and decades of practicing tantric yoga.

I believe there is a reason for everything we experience, and that the soul is imbued with a Divine Plan in collaboration with our inherent desires for ecstasy.

What I offer you now as an elder is the full scope of all that I’ve learned and practiced over my lifetime.  One method doesn’t work for everyone, as you are a unique and wondrous creature with a path as intricate and distinct as a snowflake.  Every individual has their own story to be lived and liberated into an enlightened legend, and for most of us, the support and guidance of a wise teacher with many experiences and an array of skills is necessary.

My passion is to dive deep with women and peer into their souls, support them to fulfill their Divine Destiny with joy, love, and sensuality as their inherent birthright.

How Do You Handle A Bully?

December 31, 2014

snowy_owl_eyes_193805

I wonder about the history of bullying. I imagine that in prehistoric days, being a bully was the way to be the boss in the cave. Totally up for info on that, but it seems possible.
Then came the days of the quick fix, when we had communities and villages, and the bully was finally pummeled by someone, thereby putting an end to the bullying, at least from that person.
Then came conscious communication, and the turnaround transition where the bullies were loved by those who could see the suffering underneath, and recognize their own internal bully, and quite possibly heal the dynamic of bullying altogether.
My dear friend, Judy Giovangelo has devoted her life to healing bullies, inside and out with her magnificent organization Ben Speaks, and so she keeps me awake and aware about this bullying topic.

There is, however, another fascinating slant on bullying that is more esoteric and takes an enormous dose of patience, and that I’ve practiced my whole life. It’s totally an inside job, while watching karmic patterns play out.

I’ve experienced and witnessed treatment from some people that shocked me and felt awful, but with prayer, meditation, and learning to love myself more, I’ve been silent, like an owl. Watching over years sometimes, just seeing the internal suffering of the bully, sending love, and also doing what I needed to do to take care of myself, I haven’t been one to take an activist stance and fight back, unless my family or myself were in danger. I’ve chosen, out of simply feeling what my intuitive knowing was telling me, to be the owl high in the tree, watching the unravelling of events in the bully’s life, and at times sincerely felt sad for them when the universe dished back the same energy multiplied.  Personally, I think this higher view allows for those intricate dynamics that we don’t know about to play out more perfectly in alignment with everyone’s highest good.  I’m less inclined to want to interfere with the genius of the universe.

More recently, I’m becoming acutely aware of this as the vibration in the universe picks up speed, and the wait is much, much shorter. I see it for myself as well as others. The benefit of being awake in this world is that when we screw up, we know how it works, and we can make amends as well as do other spiritual practices to smooth out the repercussions and heal the wrong before we get the slapback and it’s much softer. It’s softer because we have owned our actions and taken action. It’s softer because we were accountable to the energy dynamic that connects all of us as one.

There are still many of us who haven’t quite caught up, though. We can see it in the headlines. If you were to read the headlines as if they were the message from your Higher Self about how you’re doing today, how would your life be different? I think that those of us who know our internal landscape and are clear about our oneness on this beautiful earth are able to see the places inside of ourselves where we are still at war, and do the healing work necessary.

If each and every one of us were taking exquisite care of ourselves internally, perhaps the headlines would reflect that ramp up of love in the world. Before you begin to argue this point with a litany of reasons why it’s unreasonable and with proof that it’s a false idea, consider the possibility of love as a healing agent more powerful than any energy in this universe.

We’ve come a long way from the cave, baby, and it’s time to wake up. Gently, softly, I am whispering an “I love you” wakeup call.

Two Tips To Own Your Inner Goddess

March 17, 2014

Image

People approach me often and remark on my appearance, my hair, and overall something they can’t put their finger on.  Having devoted much time over my life on learning inner and outer beauty and spiritual practices, I understand what they’re commenting on.  It’s not just a physical beauty that comes and goes and is dependent on good hair days, makeup, and accessorizing, that has attracted them.

After all, I’m an older woman, I have some extra weight, and I’m not always dressed up.

The attracting factor is a receptivity, an internal move, and an energetic vibration.  These things can be felt across a room.  Often I don’t notice I’m doing it, because it has become such a part of who I am.

Today I’m going to teach you two tips that will begin to plant your attention into the center of where this originates, and simultaneously raise your vibration so that the glow inside starts to spread out and affect others.

Are you ready?!

The first move is to breathe in through your nose and bring your attention to your heart, and then to your belly.  These two places are both spiritual and sensual, and merely by placing your attention here, you become both connected to your divine center of spiritual connection, and your divinely erotic embodied center of feminine power.

The next move is to hold the intention that you are a divine being having an embodied experience, and coming from your heart and your belly, to choose to bless the world with each step while knowing that your words are prayers.

These tips are simple, yet profoundly powerful.   Try them out and let me know how it goes!

Medicine In Your Yard?

May 19, 2013

Image

It’s a little known fact that what grows in our yards is there to heal us. When I heard this for the first time, I was so excited that I scoured my yard for clues as to what herbs and weeds were showing up to help us, and could easily connect their healing properties to exactly what we needed.

Years ago we moved into an apartment house with a small hill in the back.  To my delight, the landlords didn’t use pesticides.  The hill was covered in plantain, a weed (herb) that most people try to get rid of to create an ultra uniform, grassy lawn.  The landlord’s child and my son were both suffering from different skin maladies at the time, and I knew that plantain was our ally.  Plantain knew it before I did because it was growing there in proliferation, ready to assist us.

I did what any shamanic plant medicine woman would do.  I gathered up my drum and sat with plantain and drummed.  Journeying with plantain gave me the instructions needed to create the perfect salve for healing the children’s skin afflictions.  With great respect and love, I picked the plantain leaves as directed, and created an infusion with oil from them.  Following the recipe given to me in my journey, I created a salve with the oil, some essential oils, beeswax from a local farm, and other healing ingredients.  This salve did the trick perfectly, and both children were relieved and healed.

Then someone at the local school got wind of my healing salve and asked me for a jar. She happened to have a daughter who suffered miserably with eczema that defied all medical treatments.  The salve I created was the one thing that healed her.  Go figure.

Such is the power of working with the earth, the plants and plant spirits, and the spirit world with respect and love.  A company could learn the chemical constituents of what was in that salve and copy the product, but I highly doubt it would be so effective.  When plants are measured down to their chemical properties and extracted into milligrams, they are no longer a whole unit.  They’re stripped of the full range of properties that make up the plant, and devoid of the plant spirit.  If the FDA insists on measuring quantity without individualized collaboration with the spirits of the plants, they will effectively strip away the essential nature of plant spirit medicine, and the profound healing that can take place.

Years ago, my husband didn’t like the huge comfrey stalks what grew outside our basement door and mowed them down to the ground one day.  He didn’t understand my affection for all plants wild and unruly, and preferred a neat, uniform appearance.  Unfortunately, when he came home with broken ribs from a new karate class the next week, we had to call around to find friends with comfrey to make the poultices that relieved his pain and healed his ribs in record time. You see, comfrey knew before we did that my husband would need help and was graciously proliferating the back of the house.

It’s possible for me to go to the doctor with an ailment and learn the diagnosis, come home and go out into my yard for clues as to what the deeper cause might be.  I’ve found strong connections between the dandelions and help with an immune system disorder. We have mint leaves along the whole side of the house that have celebrated summer picnics with us, healed tummy aches, and soothed headaches.  Nature has immense gifts and absolute magic awaiting us if we simply partner with her.

Why Have A Healing Session With Goddess Oceana?

May 8, 2013

Image

If you find that you’re in a cycle of repeated patterns and are hitting a wall with frustration, chances are your energetic system is blocked or contracted.  This often happens as a result of trauma, mild or severe, or even simply because of our emotional and mental reactions to what we perceive to be anything other than love from an outside source.

If we’re hurt, our energy bodies contract, which can result in emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual manifestations of dis~ease over time.  The underlying cause is energetic, always.

In a healing session, I utilize a wide range of energetic modalities to locate and transmute the contracted energy.  Some of this energy can even be energy that isn’t ours, but has found a place in us to cling, and it can distort our natural way of being in ways that feel out of alignment with who we are. These energies are removed using a shamanic process called extraction, and they’re transmuted so that they can no longer affect us.

How do these energies end up stuck to us in the first place?  When we have a physical or emotional shock or hurt, a part of our soul can fragment to protect us from the full force of the hurt.  This is called soul fragmentation.  This leaves a void in our energy body, which is automatically vulnerable to outside energies seeking a place to land.

In our culture, people are tended to by doctors and nurses if their bodies are wounded or ill.  Psychologists help to heal the mental and emotional bodies.  The spiritual, soul malady is neglected, however, and we are left to wonder why we never feel quite ourselves again, or why we are trying to fill the “void” with all manner of addictions.

Shamans have been addressing the whole person for millennia, and have effective and simple ways to bring a person into alignment so that often, something that is stubbornly refusing to heal with medication, counseling, or nutrition, is swiftly healed by a soul retrieval and integration, an extraction, and divination.

In my healing sessions, I use shamanic processes wherever I intuitively feel they are needed.  My sessions with people address their individual and unique needs accordingly, and so they’re not a one size fits all experience.  With thirty years of healing work in my medicine bag, I utilize what’s needed when it’s needed.

My gigantic medicine bag has years of mediumship abilities, psychometry, and psychic skills.  I use a pendulum to dowse as we work together, often clearing past, present, and future life misalignments and opening energy pathways with spiritual response therapy.  As an intuitive using clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience, I will scan someone’s field even from a distance intuitively to see where the blocks are in their system.

A master coach of decades, I utilize my coaching skills to empower the inner knowing of my clients for a swift and catalytic shift in whatever area they are ready to shift.  This saves time, and money, not to mention the priceless gift of less suffering.

As a priestess, I call in sacred space, higher awareness, archangels, guides, and master teachers and ascended masters to hold the highest vibration possible for our work together. With my background as a white tantric yoga teacher, I have wisdom to draw from that is mystical and rare, which I can impart to assist in the support of your overall well-being.  A certified herbalist and aromatherapist, I also have the exquisite tools of the plant world at my fingertips should someone need a personalized essence to help them integrate as they are healing.

In essence, if you desire to finally heal or shift, and you want the very highest level healer available, you would do well to call on me.  There is no area of spiritual healing work I haven’t studied, and the spirit helpers I work with are the most powerful, loving guides and have worked with me over a multitude of lifetimes and dimensions.

Healing sessions can be done by phone or skype, and so distance is not a challenge.  If you’re finding you are facing some of the blocks that are up now for people in the shift of our planetary vibration, with the biggest personal growth opportunities of our times, message me for an appointment and give yourself a break.  You don’t need to suffer with this by yourself when help is right here.

Connection As The New Trend

November 5, 2010

Women tend to seek intimacy in relationships because it’s how we are wired biologically.  One of the most common complaints I hear from women is that they can’t seem to connect with their partners at a deep level that satisfies this longing enough.  They tell me that all men want is sex, but they want the romance, the love, and the sensitivity to come first.

It all makes perfect sense that they are telling me this!  Nature sure has a sense of humor when it comes to males and females.  Men are wired to procreate first, find intimacy second.  They will visually seek the hardiest, most physically appealing mate because it assures that our race will endure.  Women actually have this instinct as well, but because they’re the ones who raise the offspring, historically, they are wired for relationship and bonding to ensure the community will assist them in this daunting endeavor.  It really does take a village.

The tides are turning, however, and the age of a strong and healthy feminine essence is at hand.  All over the world, women are beginning to feel a pull, an often uncanny urge towards the earth, their sisters, and their finally true purpose.  Men are feeling it too, and my intuition tells me that it’s the feminine side of themselves they are hearing tap, tap, tap on their heart’s inner knowing.

The good news for all of us is that intimate connection is the newest and latest longing.  Women may have always desired it, but in our age of screens, commercialism, domestication gone haywire, and media conditioning to violence as normal…it is the holes in our souls that everyone is longing to fill now.  The crazy fear frenzy of the news channels, the overly caricatured hyped up sitcoms, and the fast and furious onslaught of material overload has proven not to fill this void.  People are longing for one thing above all others, and that one thing is meaningful connection.  It can be translated into spiritual fulfillment, a deep purpose that serves the higher good of humanity, and many other great words, but in  my opinion it boils down to basic human connection.

We can find it by turning off the screens, sitting still in the quiet, refusing to answer the phone every single time it rings, and active listening, for starters.  The gift of true connection is one that is unforgettable, and that impacts in a way that ripples in its healing effect.  How many times have you felt truly and deeply heard?  I venture to say that you remember those few times vividly as precious in your life.

A relationship is its own being, a unique energy body that needs feeding, attention, and love.  To be in service to this relationship energy body is the best way that I know of to hone the art of commitment and growth…not very romantic stuff, but crucial to the creation of romance.  In other words, we must build a foundation of connection, deep listening, commitment to growth, and commitment to the entity of the relationship to even begin to expect the next level of true and lasting romance to enter the picture.

The practice of connection in our intimate relationships requires complete and full attention to each other.  It requires distraction free space, and a commitment to set aside our own agendas for the larger entity of the relationship. The best place to begin is with the tried and true exercise of taking turns being heard and listening, repeating back what you heard to each other verbatim.  Eye gazing is another fabulous way to build intimacy and connection, and specifically gazing at each other’s left eyes works best, according to behavior specialists.  Another thing to keep in mind is that women need romance first to feel a deep and romantic connection, and men need oxytocin from sex to feel a loving bond.  This is a quandary indeed!  I suggest some give and take here, and especially for women to begin to speak to what they need, find ways to relieve stress, and nurture themselves before trying to give more.  Exquisite self care is crucial before a woman can relax into all that a man has to give her. Connection is multi-faceted, but it’s the foundation of what will heal our world, our relationships, and our lives.  Of this I am convinced.
